It is best to have your own certified mechanic do a quality check of the truck which should include checking for existing damage underneath the truck, for rusting at any point and the quality of the brakes and U-joint among other things. The mechanic should give a full report of the overall condition of the truck.

2. Even after one has performed all the quality checks possible on the truck they intend to buy, questions still need to be asked of the dealer. Beware of new paint jobs as they are usually hiding something that may not have been mentioned on the history report. Ask the dealer to provide their own account of the trucks history.

When dealing with the actual truck you intend to purchase, ask all the right questions and perform all the necessary quality checks before moving towards the next step of making payments.
